Ten hag sacked! New manager appointed
Erik Ten hag sacked! Sporting manager Ruben Amorim appointed as new head coach
Welcome back guys! Let's just say that a lot has gone on since the last blog as most of you are probably already aware of! On Monday the 28th October the news broke that Manchester United had sacked their manager Erik Ten Hag following Sundays 2-1 defeat to West Ham. Personally, there was a lot of mixed emotions when I heard the news. Yes, the performances and results have been totally unacceptable, however I had a soft spot for Erik Ten Hag and will remember the two cup triumphs fondly. As well as this, the initial thought in my head was, who will the replacement be? I just thought to myself "here we go again". We have had that many different managers who haven't managed to reach the levels that Manchester United fans expect and yet again I feel like the players also play a massive part in this sacking and I think they should be taking the responsibility to and as a result I do feel bad for Erik Ten Hag. Ultimately, he tried his best to take us back to where we should be but the current position of United in the league table and in Europe is just totally unacceptable for a club of Manchester United's stature, therefore I do think it was the correct decision to make a change. So, a mix of emotions, I don't know whether to feel relieved and happy that he is gone and we can have a fresh start or feel bad for the manager as it is never nice seeing a manager get sacked. Over the years managers have come and gone and every time I have got my hopes up thinking that the next manager will be the one to make Manchester United great again, therefore I am being wary this time!
Sporting Manager Ruben Amorim appointed as new manager!
In what many are calling a masterstroke, Manchester United have turned to Ruben Amorim, the 39-year-old Portuguese manager who has impressed the footballing world with his tactical nous and remarkable achievements at Sporting CP. Amorim’s rise to prominence has been swift and impressive. Taking over at Sporting in 2020, he led the team to their first Primeira Liga title in 19 years in his very first season. His brand of football has been lauded for its attacking intent, fluidity, and tactical flexibility. Amorim has shown a rare ability to blend youth with experience, making Sporting one of the most exciting teams in European football, all while operating under relatively modest financial constraints. Amorim prepares to take charge of his first game for United following the international break with an away trip to Ipswich. There is no easy games in the premier league anymore so he can expect a tough first game in charge, let's hope he can get off to a winning start and hopefully build momentum going into the next games and help us climb the table!Ruud Van Nistelroy to leave Manchester United!
After 4 games in charge as interim manager, Ruud has found out that he will not be staying on in any capacity at Manchester United. Personally, I think it is a shame to see him go because he is a club legend and knows what Manchester United is all about. However, We have to trust the new manager and he clearly wants to work with his own staff and we have to trust that he is making the right decision. I am sure that after doing well in his short spell as manager, there will be clubs eager to appoint Van Nistelroy as their manager. I am sure all United fans will wish him well for the future and hope to see him do well in whatever he choses to do
That's it for the blog this time, keep an eye out for more blogs in the coming days and weeks as this is the best place to hear about everything to do with Manchester United, from a passionate fan!
